The Real Housewives of New York has been great to Bravo and the Real Housewives series for nine seasons but can it possibly get better? After nine successful seasons, what could they change to give it a better New York feel?
Given that New York City is widely known as a “melting pot,” the RHONY series hasn’t quite had that feel. The cast has been predominately white and according to Page Six, the cast could be in for a shakeup for their 10th season. Page Six cites that Bravo will look to make the cast more diverse next season.
Does this ultimately mean there will be changes? Not necessarily, but it appears they will do their best to switch it up somewhat. No word yet on any of the ladies getting the axe yet and we don’t know if the addition of a cast member would mean someone has to go but that could be an option. Bethenny Frankel figures to be a staple but we stress this again, if Tinsley Mortimer and her blind-date from Chicago are getting serious, could that make for a natural exit for her to Chicago to perhaps spark a Chicago series and make way for a new diverse cast member to join the New York series? Things are beginning to look like they may be taking shape.
